Michigan Pottery

A Piece of Home

Michigan Pottery began in the Fall 2017. It started with a passion for pottery and a vision to design creative pieces that individuals could use in their daily lives.

My name is Kelly Forest and I have been designing dynamic and creative art pieces

for 10+ years. The idea came to fruition because I have always loved the shape of

the state of Michigan and it seemed fitting in this time when individuals prefer

to buy local and feel more connected to community while supporting small

businesses at the same time. It was important for me to design pieces that

could be used by both men and women.

I have found customers enjoy using the large Michigan dish in all sorts of ways

such as a spoon rest on your stove or catch all piece to hold keys, change,

or even as a soap tray. I had one customer who planned to use them for salad plates.

The Michigan dishes come in four sizes. (large mentioned above)

I make extra small pieces in the Michigan design and add super strong magnets for your fridge, or an extra large size to use as a decorative wall piece

or it can even be hung outside.

I hope you like what you see!
